Anastasia Lobanova

Associate Scientist at Jnana Therapeutics

Anastasia Lobanova has held a variety of positions in the life sciences field since 2011. Anastasia began as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, where they determined the direct targets of the transcriptional factor ap2e (tfap2e). Anastasia then interned at DuPont, where they were responsible for cloning an RNAi inducing construct into Trichoderma reesei to regulate expression of cellulases for biofuel production. In 2014, they began their PhD Candidate role at The Scripps Research Institute, where they elucidated the effects of telomere dysfunction through telomeric deprotection on neurogenesis and neural maturation. In 2018, they took on a Sr. Research Associate and Research Associate role at Celgene, where they were responsible for creating cells lines to screen for protein turnover and key signaling activation following small molecule treatment. Anastasia then moved to Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2019, where they held a Sr. Research Associate role. Most recently, they began an Associate Scientist role at both Jnana Therapeutics and Design Therapeutics in 2021.

Anastasia Lobanova earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology, Genetics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013. Anastasia then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Scripps Research, which they completed in 2018.
