Rachel Desmarais has a strong background in project management and engineering within the construction industry. Rachel currently holds a position as a Project Engineer at John Moriarty & Associates, which they began in January 2019. Prior to this, Rachel served as a Senior Project Manager at Permasteelisa North America Corp. starting in March 2018. From April 2013 to February 2018, they worked as a Project Manager at Karas & Karas Glass Company Inc. and from July 2010 to April 2013, they held a similar position at Tower Glass Company Inc. Rachel began their career at Enclos Corp as an Assistant Project Manager from July 2005 to July 2010.

Rachel Desmarais received their Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech from 2001 to 2005.
