Liping Sun worked as the Head of Finance at Jia, a company that empowers entrepreneurs worldwide to control their financial destiny. Prior to that, they were a Private Equity Fund Manager at Cindat Capital Management Limited. Liping also served as a Social Enterprise Advisor at the Mae Fah Luang Foundation.

Liping Sun pursued their education in a disciplined manner, starting with their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Liping attended from 2002 to 2006, although their field of study during this time is not specified. Later, they furthered their academic journey by acquiring a Master's degree in International Finance from Columbia University, attending from 2007 to 2009.
