David Rubens M.A. Ed currently serves as the Director of Business Operations at The Shaw JCC of Akron since October 2023. Previously, David held positions at The University of Akron, including Coordinator of Career Services & Student Employment from February 2022 to July 2022 and Associate Lecturer from August 2009 to May 2017, where lectures encompassed Sports Communication, Sports Leadership, Sports Sociology, and Introduction to Sports Studies. David also served as Director of Athletics at The University of Akron Wayne College from August 2014 to May 2020 and as Assistant Men's Basketball Coach from August 2009 to February 2013, contributing to the team’s significant achievements. David's educational background includes a Master of Education in Sport Studies/Coaching from The University of Akron, a Bachelor of Science in Leisure Studies/Sport Management from Kent State University, and an Associate of Science in Community Services Technology from The University of Akron.
