Chancellor Barnett has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Chancellor is currently the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Strategy Officer at Jewel Bank since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Founder & CEO of Jewel Bank from January 2019 to October 2021.

Before their involvement with Jewel Bank, Chancellor worked as an Advisor at Haas Portman Family Office from August 2017 to March 2019. Chancellor also served as an Advisor at Orchid Labs from September 2017 to December 2018, and as a Co-Founder of CoinCircle from June 2017 to February 2018.

Chancellor's work involvement in Forbes began in July 2012, where they contributed on Startups & Crowdfunding until February 2018. Chancellor also served as an Advisor at UCLA Blockchain Lab in 2017.

In their earlier career, Chancellor founded Crowdfunder.com in November 2011 and held the positions of Founder, Chairman, and CEO until August 2017. Chancellor continued as a Founder until July 2017. Additionally, they were a Founding Partner at VC Index Fund from April 2016 to May 2017, where they co-invested alongside leading VCs.

Chancellor's previous roles include serving as an Advisor at Tradesy from October 2010 to January 2013 and as a Partner & Product Geek at Qwizzle from August 2010 to January 2012.

Chancellor Barnett received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where they studied from 1996 to 2000.
