Simon Smeulders has extensive experience in child protection and welfare. Since September 1994, Simon has held various roles at Jeugdbescherming Brabant, including Lid Ondernemingsraad and Functioneel Beheerder WIJZ. Previously, Simon worked at Bureau Jeugdzorg Noord-Brabant from 1994 to 2016, serving as member of the Ondernemingsraad, applicatiebeheerder, and hoofd I&A, leading system and application management. Additionally, Simon has experience as a voorzitter Oudervereniging at Baanderherencollege VMBO, and has held roles such as Pleegzorgwerker and Gezinsvoogdijwerker at Bureau Jeugdzorg Noord-Brabant, as well as working as a groepsleider and teamleider at Huize de la Salle from 1986 to 1994. Simon holds a Master in de Gezondheidswetenschappen from HBO-J and a MAVO diploma from MAVO St. Josef Tilburg.
