Sean Shannon has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2009. Sean began their career as an Information Technology Specialist at A Wider Circle in 2009, followed by a Web Developer position at WeddingWire in 2010. In 2011, they moved to Home Front Communications as a Web Developer, then Contactually as a Senior Software Engineer in 2012. In 2014, they worked as a Lead Web Development Instructor at General Assembly before taking a Software Engineer role at Hillary for America in 2016. In 2017, they returned to Pico as a Senior Software Engineer before joining The Washington Post as a Technical Product Manager and Senior Software Engineer in 2018. In 2021, they were promoted to Engineering Manager at Pico, and in 2022 they moved to Jetty as an Engineering Manager.

Sean Shannon obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The George Washington University.
