Andrés Shapiro is the Business Development Manager for Latin America at JERDE. Andrés has over seven years of experience in business development and project management.
Andrés Shapiro began their career in 2012 as a Project Manager at Acumen Telecomunicaciones. Andrés was responsible for managing the construction of telecommunications sites across Mexico. In 2015, they transitioned to the role of Asset Manager at FibraHotel, where they oversaw the operations of hotel properties in Mexico.
In 2017, Andrés Shapiro took on the role of Director of Business Development for Latin America at Selina. In this role, they were responsible for institutionalizing the company and raising investment funds. Andrés was successful in securing a $150 million investment from DD3 Capital Partners for Selina Mexico, which was replicated globally. Andrés also increased growth flexibility by opening the door to acquisition, co-investments, and other alternatives to lease contracts.
Andrés Shapiro has extensive experience in business development and project management in Latin America. Andrés is currently based in Mexico City.
Andrés Shapiro has a licenciado in Creación y Desarrollo de Empresas from Tecnológico de Monterrey, an MBA from the University of Sydney, and a M.S. in Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Development from Jönköping University. Andrés is currently pursuing a PhD in Entrepreneurship at Boston University.
