Franklin Sherman currently serves as the Senior Director of Renewables/Low Carbon M&A and Development at JERA Americas, focusing on developing renewable energy and low carbon fuel facilities to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Prior to this role, Franklin held positions including Executive Director of Project Finance at Mizuho, where the emphasis was on originating project finance loans in the US and Canada, and Director of Project Finance at NORD/LB, specializing in various project finance transactions in the power and infrastructure sectors. Franklin started a career in finance as an Associate Analyst at Moody's Investors Service, assessing creditworthiness of utilities and energy companies, and gained experience as an Account/Relationship Manager at Capital IQ, managing a diverse client portfolio. Educational credentials include a Business Administration degree with a focus on Real Estate Finance from the USC Marshall School of Business and earlier studies in Finance at Tulane University.
