Melissa Ambrose has extensive experience in educational and mental health roles, currently serving as a Wellness Coordinator for the Jefferson Union High School District since August 2019 and as a School Social Worker at Oceana High School since August 2008. Ambrose provides crisis counseling and ongoing support to students, collaborates with teachers and families, facilitates mindfulness sessions, and coordinates various counseling groups. With a background in teaching Humanities at Oceana High School from 1998 to 2007, Ambrose is committed to student advocacy and support, serving on numerous committees and boards, including the Daly City Youth Health Center Advisory Board. Ambrose holds a Master of Social Work and has participated in various professional development initiatives related to social work and education.
