Jeremy Jeffery, CPA MBA FHFMA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry, primarily in finance and accounting roles. Jeremy started their career at BKD CPAs & Advisors as a Staff Accountant, where they worked on audit and assurance engagements for hospital and health system clients. Jeremy then advanced to the role of Senior Accountant, where they continued to specialize in audit and assurance, as well as reimbursement consulting.

After their time at BKD, Jeremy joined Hudson Cisne & Company as a Senior Accountant and later became an Audit Manager. In these roles, they worked on various audit and assurance engagements for clients in different industries, including contractors, agricultural cooperatives, school districts, non-profit organizations, and wholesaler distributors. Jeremy also gained experience in corporate and individual tax matters.

Jeremy then transitioned to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, where they held several positions over the years. Jeremy started as an Assistant Controller & Accounting Manager and later became the Controller & Director of Accounting. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing finance and accounting functions, including reporting, tax compliance, payroll, and accounts payable.

Afterward, Jeremy joined CARTI as the Assistant Vice President & Corporate Controller, where they served as a finance leader for a large non-profit cancer treatment center. Jeremy was responsible for various finance and accounting functions, including reporting, tax compliance, and financial and operational improvement initiatives.

Currently, Jeremy is working at Jefferson Regional Medical Center as the Sr. Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they are part of the senior leadership team and provides financial leadership and support to the organization. Jeremy is responsible for overseeing finance, supply chain, revenue cycle, and quality branches of the organization. Jeremy also provides financial reporting and business intelligence to the Board of Directors and colleagues.

Throughout their career, Jeremy has demonstrated expertise in finance, accounting, reporting, tax compliance, reimbursement, and decision support. Jeremy has a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing health systems and has successfully navigated these obstacles in their positions.

Jeremy Jeffery, CPA MBA FHFMA received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting & Marketing from the University of Central Arkansas in 2003. Jeremy furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the same institution in 2022. In addition to their academic achievements, Jeremy also holds various certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2004, Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) since 2012, and Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA) since 2019.
