Xiwen Meng has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Xiwen started their career as an IT Consultant at America Express in 1999. Xiwen then moved on to GE Capital Mortgage Insurance, where they served as a Technical Consultant from 1999 to 2000 and later as a Senior IT Systems Analyst from 2000 to 2005. After that, they joined Genworth Financial as a Senior IT Systems Analyst in 2005. Currently, they are working at HRTMS Inc. as a Software Developer since December 2015.

Xiwen Meng received a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio Physics from East China Normal University, where they studied from 1980 to 1985. Xiwen later pursued further education at Barry University, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems from 1990 to 1992.
