Dana Guan has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and statistics. Dana started their career as a Statistician Assistant at the Neuropsychiatric Institute Statistics Core at UCLA in 2004. Dana then worked as an Analyst/Programmer at the Division of General Internal Medicine & Health Services Research at UCLA School of Medicine in 2005. In 2006, they became an Independent Consultant at the same division. In 2005, they joined Power Information Network, a division of J.D. Power and Associates, as a Statistician. Dana then moved to J.D. Power and Associates as a Senior Statistician in 2007 and worked there until 2010. From 2010 until 2018, they served as a Senior Statistics Manager at JD Power and Associates. In 2018, they joined J.D. Power as the Director of Data Science, where they currently hold the position.

Dana Guan earned an M.S. in Biostatistics from the University of California ā€“ Los Angeles between the years 2003 and 2005. They also obtained certifications, such as the SUN MICROSYSTEM Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform from SUN MICROSYSTEM in March 2001 and a Computer Science Certificate on Database Technologies from the University of California ā€“ Irvine in November 2000.
