Ashley M. Edgar

Senior Director, Automotive Benchmarking at J.D. Power

Ashley M. Edgar has over 17 years of work experience in the automotive industry. Ashley M. is currently the Director of Automotive Supplier Benchmarking and Alternative Mobility at J.D. Power, where they lead business development, results delivery, and client support for automotive studies in the supplier space and alternative mobility field. Before this, they worked at Stellantis as the Chief Vehicle Engineer for the Wrangler/Gladiator platform.

From 2012 to 2022, Ashley held various roles at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Ashley M. served as the Vehicle Integration Manager for the Minivan, responsible for ensuring total vehicle performance exceeded customer requirements. Ashley M. also worked as the Engineering Manager for Validation of Aero & Thermal Systems, where they led the thermal integration and validation of the new Chrysler Pacifica for the Waymo Autonomous Vehicle Project. Additionally, Ashley held several other roles at FCA, including a special assignment as a Vehicle Development Project Manager for the Portal Autonomous Concept Vehicle.

Prior to their time at FCA, Ashley worked at Chrysler Group LLC as the Reliability Test & Operations Lead Engineer, where they implemented key initiatives for corporate quality. Ashley M. also served as the Customer Quality Engineer for Heavy Duty Trucks.

Earlier in their career, Ashley worked at EDAG as a Product Development Engineer for the VW Routan Minivan and at Lear Corporation as a Seat Product Engineer. Ashley M. also worked at Chrysler as a Product Development Engineer, where they played a key role in the design and release of various automotive parts.

Throughout their career, Ashley has demonstrated strong leadership skills, including managing teams, developing and implementing innovative measures, and improving process and product. Ashley M. has a proven track record of exceeding customer requirements and driving resolution of issues.

Ashley M. Edgar obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. Ashley M. attended the university from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their degree, Ashley also obtained certifications in Preparation for PMP Certification from Comau in November 2014 and in Catia V5 in May 2006.
