Bruce Elder is an experienced banking executive currently serving as President & CEO of JD Bank since November 2019. Prior roles include Investor Relations and Strategy Officer as well as President of North Carolina Banking at CresCom Bank from November 2017 to November 2019, and President & CEO of First South Bank from March 2012 to March 2018. Bruce's extensive background in finance includes serving as CFO at Crescent State Bank from 1998 to 2012, Chief Financial Officer at Mutual Community Savings Bank from 1996 to 1998, and Controller at Prosperity Bank & Trust Company from 1991 to 1996. Bruce began a career in accounting as a Staff Accountant at Thompson, Greenspon in 1990. Bruce holds a BA in Accounting from North Carolina State University, graduating in 1984.
