Guido Schmid began their work experience as an Intern at the Schweizer Armee in 2007. Guido then worked as an Intern at UBS in 2011, followed by an internship at Helbling Business Advisors in 2012. In 2013, they served as an Intern at ABT Advisory. Schmid joined PwC Advisory in 2014, starting as a Junior Consultant and later working as a Consultant and Senior Consultant in Business Restructuring Services. Guido also completed their Master Thesis during this time. In 2018, Schmid joined AlixPartners as a Consultant and later became a Vice President. Guido'smost recent role, starting in April 2020, is Group CFO at JCL Logistics.
Guido Schmid has a diverse education history. Guido began their studies at the University of St.Gallen in 2008 and completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration in 2011. In 2012, they pursued further education at the same university and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Accounting and Finance, as well as a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in International Management from CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education.
During their studies, Guido Schmid also had the opportunity to expand their knowledge through various programs. In 2013, they attended a program at HEC Lausanne - The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne, focusing on Accounting and Finance. Additionally, they attended a program at UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School in Dublin, specializing in International Management.
In terms of certifications, Guido Schmid obtained the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst certification from Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI) in March 2020.
