Rachel McClenahan has extensive work experience in the media industry. Their most recent role was as the Head of Sales - Agency at JCDecaux UK, where they managed relationships with Group M's agencies and developed profitable agency relationships. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Director and Associate Director at JCDecaux. Before joining JCDecaux, Rachel was the Brand Director for Empire, Q, Mojo, and Kerrang at Bauer Media, where they were responsible for developing and implementing brand strategies. Rachel also served as the Commercial Director at Passion Radio Oxford Ltd, where they developed and implemented a fresh business strategy. Rachel has worked in various roles at Absolute Radio and Virgin Radio, including Head of Independent and Regional Business and Agency Account Manager. Rachel started their career at The Guardian as a Field Sales Account Manager.
Rachel McClenahan attended the University of Aberdeen from 1998 to 2002 and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Geography. Prior to university, they attended Friends School Lisburn from 1991 to 1998. In addition to their formal education, Rachel has also obtained various certifications, including "Mental Health and Me" from Praxis42 | Making Compliance Easyâ„¢ in 2023 and "MHFA Mental Health First Aid Adult course" from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England in 2022. Rachel has also received certifications in digital marketing, advertising, and media.
