Niall O'Brien is an accomplished geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in both design and project management, currently serving as an Associate and Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Egis in Ireland since December 2021. Prior to this role, Niall worked at Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions, where significant projects included offshore wind farm geotechnical interpretative reports, marine reclamation, and various foundation designs. Previous positions also include Project Geotechnical Engineer at ByrneLooby and Graduate Geotechnical Engineer at Atkins. Niall holds a Master of Science in Soil Mechanics from Imperial College London, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Business from the Irish Management Institute, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering from University College Cork.
