Adam Gazzaley is a distinguished Professor of Neurology, Psychiatry, and Physiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where Adam has contributed since July 2005. As the Executive Director of Neuroscape since January 2017, Gazzaley leads a translational neuroscience center focused on improving brain function assessments and optimizations for individuals with various cognitive conditions. Gazzaley is also the Co-Founder and Chief Science Advisor of Akili Interactive Labs, which develops clinically-validated cognitive therapeutics that resemble video games. In addition, Gazzaley co-founded JAZZ Venture Partners in July 2015, an investment firm centered on experiential technologies aimed at enhancing human performance. Prior experience includes co-founding Sensync from 2018 to January 2021. Adam Gazzaley's educational background includes a BS in Biochemistry from Binghamton University, an MD and PhD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, residency in Neurology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and a postdoctoral fellowship in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley.
