Norm Herman has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Norman (Norm) began their career in 1991 as an Associate Director of Pharmaceutical Development at Purdue Pharma LP. In 1998, they moved to Purdue Pharma as an Associate Director of Contract and Logistics. Norman (Norm) then became a Senior Principal Scientist-New Projects Evaluation and a Group Leader of Pharmaceutical Development at Purdue Pharma. In 2002, they joined Watson Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Pharmaceutical Technology and then moved to Maxim Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Pharmaceutical Development. In 2005, they took on the role of President at Rovan Pharmaceutical Consulting and Director of Manufacturing/Commercialization at ADVENTRX Pharmaceuticals. Norman (Norm) also held the positions of Director of Manufacturing and Biopharmaceutical Technology and Director of Product Development at Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. Most recently, they have been a member of the January Leadership Team-Chemistry, Manufacturing Controls (CMC) at January Therapeutics since 2020.
Norm Herman attended Columbia University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences from 1967 to 1972, where they earned a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Norman (Norm) then attended Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy-Long Island University, where they earned an M.S. in Industrial Pharmacy.
