Scott Bacon has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of sports and marketing. Scott started their career as the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations for the Lynchburg Hillcats in 2007, where they served until 2011. After that, they joined the Sports Fever Television Network (STN) as a Broadcaster for college football games until 2015. In 2011, they also started working at Longwood University as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations and as the Voice of the Lancers. From 2016, Scott worked at Jacksonville University, initially as the Deputy Athletic Director for External Relations, later transitioning to the role of Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications in 2018, and finally becoming the Senior Vice President in 2019.
Scott Bacon earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications from Otterbein University, where they attended from 2000 to 2005. Scott then pursued a Master's degree in Education in Sport Leadership at VCU - Center for Sport Leadership from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, they also participated in the Management Development Program at Harvard University.
