Nathaniel Jillette has extensive experience in research management and laboratory work within various scientific fields, particularly in genomic technologies, pediatric cancer research, and synthetic biology. Currently serving as a Research Laboratory Manager at The Jackson Laboratory since September 2012, Nathaniel leads projects focused on discovering biomarkers and therapeutic targets for pediatric cancers. Previous roles include positions as a Research Assistant III / Lab Manager at the Cheng Lab, and Research Assistant II at the Haoyi Wang Lab, where Nathaniel worked on technology development for genome editing. Additional experience includes teaching oceanography to middle and high school students, conducting molecular cloning, and performing genealogical research at several institutions, along with a solid educational foundation comprising a BS/BA in Marine Biology/Biology from the University of Maine at Machias and an ongoing MBA at Husson University.
