John Sougstad, Ph.D., currently serves as the Assistant Director of Special Education and Clinical Supervisor of Psychological Services at Jackson County Intermediate School District since September 2011. In this role, John supervises programs for students eligible for special education under the category of Autism Spectrum Disorder and oversees itinerant services supporting these students across local districts. Additionally, John provides clinical supervision and administrative oversight to a team of 18 school psychologists and 14 school social workers in the district. Concurrently, John has held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University since January 1994. John holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree from Michigan State University, along with a Masterā€™s degree in Social Work from the same institution.
