Karel Briers is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in product validation and metrology. Currently serving as a Senior Product Validation Engineer at Jabil since October 2023, Karel previously worked at imec from June 2013 to September 2023, occupying roles such as FAB Engineer Metrology, Metrology Engineer, and Process Engineer. Prior to imec, Karel was at Philips Lighting from February 2003 to January 2013 as a System Engineer involved in developing specifications for UHP systems. Karel also served as an Assistant Developer at Philips Industrial Activities N.V. from September 1995 to February 2003. Karel holds a Bachelor's degree in Electromechanics with a focus on maintenance techniques from Hogeschool PXL and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics with an emphasis on microprocessors from the same institution, as well as an A2 degree in Electronics from T.A.I. Herk de Stad.
