Khumar Askerova is a seasoned professional in hospitality sales and marketing, currently serving as the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for the Indian Ocean at JA Resorts & Hotels since December 2023. Previous experience includes roles such as Cluster Director of Sales and Marketing for COMO Hotels and Resorts, and Group Director of Sales and Marketing for Lily Resorts and Hotels PVT, Ltd. Khumar has also held significant positions at Marriott International, where responsibilities included establishing the Absheron Hotel Group and opening multiple upscale hotels in Azerbaijan. Early career milestones include serving as Director of Sales at JW Marriott Absheron Baku and Commercial Director of Sales & Marketing at PASHA Development LLC, with a foundational role at Hyatt Hotels Corporation beginning in 1999. Khumar holds a Bachelor's Degree from Baku State University obtained from 1992 to 1997.
