Jennifer Abing has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jennifer is currently working as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at J.W. Speaker Corporation, starting in 2021.
Prior to their current role, Jennifer worked at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) for several years. Jennifer held positions such as the Associate Director of Career Services and Lecturer, Assistant Director of Career Services and Lecturer, and Interim Director of Career Services and Lecturer. In these roles, they led and supervised staff, developed and implemented training programs, organized career fairs, built relationships with employers, and utilized data for marketing and advocacy.
In 2019, Jennifer participated in the Civic Accelerator Program at Co:Lab, where they collaborated with professionals to develop a high-impact solution that aimed to build a community for young professionals in Granville's manufacturing area. Jennifer Abing completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 2007 to 2011. Jennifer then pursued a Master's Degree in Educational Policy and Leadership with an emphasis on College Student Personnel Administration at Marquette University from 2013 to 2015. In 2018, they attended the NACE Management Leadership Institute (MLI). Additionally, Jennifer obtained various certifications, such as the Veterans At Work Certificate from SHRM in June 2023, the Culture of Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma Foundations Certificates from LinkedIn in July 2021, and several other LinkedIn certifications related to influencing others, negotiating salary, business writing, team leadership, marketing, organizational learning and development, and entrepreneurship from 2019 to 2021.
