David Myers is a seasoned professional in architectural conservation and historic preservation, currently serving as a Senior Project Specialist at the Getty Conservation Institute, a position held since May 2001. During this tenure, David managed the GCI Recording & Documentation Unit from 2012 to 2020, and chaired the GCI Digital Information Management Working Group during the same period. Additionally, David co-chaired the GCI Monitoring and Evaluation Focal Points from 2013 to 2019. Prior to this role, David was a Kress Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, overseeing a project on historic earthen plasters at Cliff Palace, and held various positions with the National Park Service and the University of Pennsylvania focusing on historic preservation and documentation. David holds multiple degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Kansas, underscoring a strong academic foundation in geography and political science.
