Alex Fink has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.
Starting in 2004, they worked as a Disc Jockey at WTUL New Orleans 91.5 FM, where they also served as a Technical Director responsible for maintaining the radio station's broadcast and supporting technology.
Alex then worked as a Teaching Assistant at Tulane University in 2006.
From 2006 to 2013, they were involved in audio research and teaching roles at Arizona State University, where they worked as an IGERT Trainee Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant for Electrical Engineering courses.
In 2010, they interned at Yamaha, where they worked on porting VOCALOID core synthesis engine to iOS.
Starting in 2013, they began working on their own LLC called Audolon, where they served as the Owner, Sound Researcher, and Android Developer, engaging in sound synthesis and processing research and app development for Android devices.
From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Young Chang R&D Institute as a Software Engineer, focusing on creating and sustaining software for custom digital keyboards and pianos, programming algorithms on custom DSP hardware, and utilizing C and C++ programming for embedded devices.
Currently, they are employed at iZotope, Inc. as a Sr. Software Engineer since 2018.
Alex Fink completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Tulane University from 2002 to 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering as well as Arts, Media, and Engineering from Arizona State University, completing it from 2006 to 2013.
