Shannon Currey currently works in Education and Outreach at Izel Plants since September 2022, where the company enhances access to a wide selection of native plants through a consolidated website. Prior to this role, Shannon served as Marketing Director at Hoffman Nursery, Inc. from February 2007 to June 2022, overseeing the creation of marketing materials and promoting the company’s positive image. Additional experience includes positions as Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Marketing at Hoffman Nursery, along with various roles in garden and landscape services, including Plant Evaluation Coordinator at Niche Gardens and Assistant Designer at Lindsey Landscape & Design. Shannon's early career involved research positions at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, notably as a Research Associate at the Thurston Arthritis Research Center, contributing to data management and research design.
