Shannon Elderon

Language Arts Curriculum Designer at IXL Learning

Shannon Elderon has a diverse range of work experience. From 2015 to present, they worked as a Language Arts Curriculum Designer at IXL Learning. Prior to that, they were an English Teacher at Palo Alto Unified School District from 2014 to 2015. Shannon also served as an Instructor and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Cincinnati from 2012 to 2014. In 2012, Shannon worked as an English Teacher at Palo Alto Unified School District, and from 2010 to 2012, they had multiple roles at Cengage Learning, including Development Editor (freelance), Assistant Editor, and Editorial Assistant. Before that, they were an English Teacher at Albany High School from 2008 to 2009. Shannon'sroles included teaching multi-level 9th-grade English, collaborating with other members of the English Department in designing curriculum, and pioneering the use of Google Docs for student collaboration.

Shannon Elderon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Oregon, which they completed between 2003 and 2007. Shannon then pursued a Master of Arts degree in the Teaching of English at Stanford University from 2007 to 2008. Shannon furthered their education by earning another Master of Arts degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of Cincinnati. The time period for this degree is unknown.
