Monica Strada has a diverse range of work experience in the field of education and science. Monica'smost recent role is as a Science Curriculum Designer at IXL Learning starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Educational Consultant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2021 to 2022. From 2018 to 2022, they served as a Chemistry & Environmental Science Teacher at Research Triangle High School, where they taught various science courses and served as the Faculty Advisor to the Science National Honor Society.

Before joining Research Triangle High School, Monica worked at Sacred Heart University from 2008 to 2017. Monica held multiple roles during their time there, including Course Leader and Adjunct Professor, where they designed and managed the curriculum for the General, Organic & Biochemistry lecture and laboratory course. Monica also taught other chemistry and biology courses and mentored students in the SciTech Summer Program.

Earlier in their career, Monica was a Teacher at Greenwich High School from 2004 to 2007, where they taught Honors and Practical level chemistry. Monica also worked as a Teacher at St. Joseph High School in 2004, teaching Honors level chemistry and genetics. Prior to becoming a teacher, Monica gained research experience as a Research Technologist at The Hospital for Sick Children in 2001, where they conducted computational analysis on hydrophobic helices in proteins.

Monica Strada began their education in 1996 at the University of Toronto, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Monica'sundergraduate studies lasted from 1996 to 2000. After a gap of two years, they continued their academic journey at Sacred Heart University, enrolling in the Master of Arts program in Education. Monica completed their postgraduate studies in 2004 at Sacred Heart University.
