Martie Janse van Rensburg is an accomplished governance and management consultant with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as Chairman of the Compensation Committee and Independent Non-Executive Director at Ivanhoe Mines since August 2020, Martie also holds similar positions at Etion Limited, Sephaku Holdings Ltd, and the Development Bank of Southern Africa, where oversight of audit and risk committees is a key responsibility. With prior experience as the CEO of TCTA from 1994 to 2008 and founder of M J Janse van Rensburg, consulting on infrastructure projects, Martie has a robust background in policy, strategy, and utility management. Education credentials include a B Com from the University of the Free State, a CA designation from SAICA, an Executive Development program at Stanford University Business School, and a Global ESG Certificate from Competent Boards.
