Sunakshi Sharma started their work experience in 2014 as a System Engineer at Infosys, where they worked until 2017. In 2018, they had two roles at Rochester Institute of Technology, first as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Data Warehousing and then as a Research Assistant. Their responsibilities as a Graduate Teaching Assistant involved grading assignments and clarifying students' doubts, while their role as a Research Assistant involved optimizing execution and designing a cube over big data, constructing a data warehouse using Natural Language Processing, and applying unsupervised learning techniques. In 2019, they worked as a Data Scientist/Software Engineer Intern at eLogic LLC and later as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Data Warehouse at Rochester Institute of Technology. In 2021, they had an internship as a Software Engineer at Netorbit Inc and is currently working as a Software Engineer at Ivalua.

Sunakshi Sharma has a Master's degree in Information Sciences and Technologies from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Sunakshi completed this degree at an unspecified time. Prior to their Master's degree, from 2009 to 2013, Sunakshi attended Maharshi Dayanand University where they obtained their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science.
