Peyman Kafaei is an accomplished data scientist currently employed at IVADO Labs since August 2022. Previously, Peyman served as a student representative at CIRRELT and held various roles at Polytechnique Montréal from January 2017 to October 2022, including research assistant and teaching assistant for Operations Research Tools for Engineering. Peyman also worked as an applied research scientist at YPC Technologies, focusing on online scheduling schemes for robotic kitchens using deep reinforcement learning techniques. Earlier in career, Peyman was a systems and methods expert at Fouman Chimie - Caspian, specializing in business process management, re-engineering, strategic planning, supply chain analysis, and logistics analysis. Peyman holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
