Edgar Osuna, Ph.D., currently serves as the Chief Data & Analytics Officer at iuvity, where responsibilities include leading the creation of the Data, Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Machine Learning division with a focus on applied intelligence. Additionally, Edgar holds the position of Board Member and Chairman of the Innovation Committee at FIBA. Prior to these roles, Edgar served as SVP BSA Project Manager and Risk Analytics Manager at Mercantil Bank, overseeing significant regulatory compliance projects and risk management initiatives. Edgar also held the role of Risk Manager at Mercantil Bank Schweiz and was the Global Head of Risk Analytics at Mercantil Banco, playing a critical role in establishing comprehensive risk management functions across multiple jurisdictions. Edgar earned a Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar.
