Lianne Sánchez RodrÃguez is a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the IUCRC BRAIN CENTER since January 2023, with extensive experience in engineering and research roles within the biomedical field. Previous positions include serving as MD EDP Engineer II at Biosense Webster and Graduate Student Researcher at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, where Lianne developed advanced methods for 2D-to-3D patient airway registration and optimization frameworks. Lianne's career commenced at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, leading a research project in biomechatronics and gaining experience as an intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and the Department of Defense. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Houston, a Master’s degree in Applied Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez.
