Dr. Jan Stemplewski's work experience includes holding the position of Venture Partner at Bridgemaker since January 2022. From November 2017, they served as the Co-Founder and CEO of iubel, where they introduced a new product category called "Sofort-Rechtsschutz" that combined InsurTech, FinTech, and LegalTech. In this role, they utilized a proprietary algorithm and database to predict legal case outcomes. Dr. Stemplewski was also an Interim COO and Managing Partner at VON RUEDEN from November 2019 to March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Management Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from April 2016 to October 2017. Additionally, they co-founded and served as the CEO of Stempels' Slowbrew, a cold brew specialty coffee producer and distributor, from February 2015 to January 2017. Before their entrepreneurial ventures, they gained experience as a Referendar (legal trainee) at various organizations including Jung von Matt, CMS Hasche Sigle, Irion - Kanzlei für Medienrecht, and the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie.

Dr. Jan Stemplewski began their education at Bucerius Law School in 2006 and completed their Erstes Staatsexamen degree in Rechtswissenschaft in 2011. Dr. Jan then pursued further education at the University of Münster from 2011 to 2013 where they obtained their Doctor of Law (JD) degree also in Rechtswissenschaft. In 2013, they attended Oberlandesgericht Hamburg and successfully obtained their Zweites Staatsexamen degree in Rechtswissenschaft in 2015. Additionally, Dr. Stemplewski briefly studied Amerikanisches/U.S.-Recht/Rechtsstudien/Rechtsprechung at Fordham University School of Law in 2008. Dr. Jan holds certifications including their Zweites Staatsexamen from Hamburg in October 2015, their Promotion from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster in October 2014, and their Erstes Staatsexamen from Bucerius Law School in September 2011. Dr. Jan also achieved a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in April 2010, although the institution is not specified.
