Greg Giuffrida has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Greg most recently served as the Director of Communications and Engagement for Capital Programs at MARTA, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. Prior to that, they were the owner of Ground Game Planning LLC, where they worked as an independent urban planning consultant, advocating for safer speed limits and multimodal street investment. Greg also worked as a Program Manager at the Atlanta Regional Commission, specializing in plan reviews. Greg has experience in nonprofit organizations as well, where they served as the Memorial Drive Corridor Executive at Central Atlanta Progress, coordinating planning and infrastructure projects. Greg also worked at the Georgia Institute of Technology as a Graduate Research Assistant and obtained a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning. Before that, they held roles at the Associated Press as a Regional Editor and Tennessee Supervisor, and at the Woonsocket Call as a Copy Editor/Page Designer. Greg's early career includes work as a Newsman at the Associated Press.
Greg Giuffrida earned a Diploma in Communications from Dreyfoos School of the Arts in 1997. Later, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Richmond between 1997 and 2001. Furthermore, they pursued a Master of City and Regional Planning (MCRP) degree with a focus on City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2015.
