Ing. Jorge Alberto Canales Pérez has a diverse work experience in the field of software testing and quality assurance. Their most recent role is as a Software Development Engineer In Test at ITJ, starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Globant from May 2016 to June 2022 as a QC Lead, leading the testing team and creating and executing test cases for front-end and back-end testing. Before that, they were a Senior Software Tester at Operadora Central de Estacionamientos from November 2014 to April 2016, where they conducted software and hardware testing for new projects and managed the testing phase and the team. Ing. Jorge Alberto also worked as a Test Specialist at HSBC Mexico from November 2010 to October 2014, where they managed the complete testing stage for different phases. Ing. Jorge Alberto gained additional experience as a Tester Sr at Hexaware Technologies in 2013, as a Tester Jr at IBM in September and October 2010, and as a Tester at Vision Consulting in 2010, where they conducted web application testing, defect tracking, and retesting.

Ing. Jorge Alberto Canales Pérez obtained their degree in Ingeniero en Comunicaciones y Electrónica with a specialization in Físico-Matemáticas from Instituto Politécnico Nacional, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. Ing. Jorge Alberto also pursued a degree in Ingeniero en Comunicaciones y Electrónica with a specialization in Computación from ESIME ZACATENCO during the same time period.

In terms of additional certifications, Ing. Jorge Alberto Canales Pérez obtained the Automation Program Selenium Webdriver Java from QA Minds Lab in February 2022. Ing. Jorge Alberto also received the ISTQB Foundation Level certification from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in August 2013.
