Omar Parra currently serves as the Vice President of Engineering at ITJuana since June 2023, leading the Software Engineering Department to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment. Previously, Omar held the role of Engineering Director and Site Leader at Dexcom from July 2020 to June 2023, overseeing the Tijuana Software Site's operations. Omar's experience also includes serving as Site Leader at Thermo Fisher Scientific (April 2016 - July 2020), where responsibilities spanned managing compliance, training, internal communication, Agile coaching, and the software development lifecycle for a large number of engineering teams across multiple countries. Earlier roles include Team Leader, Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Business Analyst at ArkusNexus, and software development positions at Grupo Tress Internacional and TELNOR, showcasing a strong foundation in software engineering and project management since the early stages of a career initiated with freelance web design. Omar holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, completed in 2002.
