Juan-Carlos Perez-Cortes is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the field of computer science. Since 2000, Juan-Carlos has served as the Director of the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Lab at the ITI - Instituto Tecnológico de Informática. Additionally, Juan-Carlos holds the position of Professor in the Faculty of Computer Science at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, where contributions to education have been made since 1991. Previously, from 2004 to 2014, Juan-Carlos acted as Scientific Director at various institutions including the ITI, Institut Tecnològic d'Informàtica, and the Technological Institute of Computer Science. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de València, completed between 1986 and 1990.
