Mark Paul has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mark began their career in 2006 as Head Developer at carsales.com.au. In 2007, they joined ninemsn as a Senior Developer for the ninemsn.com.au Homepage Team and subsequently held the roles of Technical Team Lead (CMS Rollout and Support Team) and Senior Software Engineer (CMS Team). In 2011, they joined Fetch TV as an IPTV Front End Senior Engineer. In 2013, they worked as a Contractor for Deloitte Digital, building the new ANZ wealth hub portal. In 2015, they served as a Researcher for Activated Carbon Technology at P & M. In 2016, they worked as Technical Architect for Life Letters and founded and became CEO of Itheum, a public goods platform that enables seamless trade of personal data using blockchain technology. In 2017, they joined Healthdirect Australia as Head Of Engineering, Engineering Manager, and Tech Lead, building a National Health Platform for Government. Finally, in 2020, they became a Technical Evangelist at OKPulse.

Mark Paul has a long history of education and certifications. Mark obtained a Higher National Diploma from Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU / APIIT) between 1999 and 2001, studying Computer Science, Software Development, and Multimedia. Mark then went on to obtain a BCompSc from Monash University between 2002 and 2003, studying Object Oriented Programming, Cyber Security, and AI. In 2009, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft. In 2013, they obtained a Microsoft Certified Specialist at Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 certification from Microsoft. In 2015, they obtained a Docker Admin & Operations certification from Docker, Inc. In 2018, they obtained a Health Informatics on FHIR certification from the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2019, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Finally, in 2020, they obtained a Fundamentals of Delta Lake Accreditation and a Unified Data Analytics with Databricks Accreditation from Databricks.
