Kirsten Haupt has extensive experience in communications, currently serving as a Communications Officer at the ITER Organization since October 2017, where involvement focuses on promoting clean energy initiatives. Prior roles include Senior Communications Officer and Head of the Editorial and Media Relations Unit at the European Food Safety Authority from September 2012 to September 2017, and Communications Advisor at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization from January 2005 to July 2012, where efforts centered on nuclear explosion monitoring. Additional experience includes serving as Press and Information Officer for the European Union Police Mission in BiH, and holding various positions within the United Nations from 1992 to 2003, which involved public information and political affairs related to peacekeeping and police reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Kirsten Haupt holds a PhD and Diploma in History from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
