Lorenzo Franchini

Lorenzo Franchini has a long and varied work experience. In 1999, they were a shareholder and board member of Hippogroup Torinese SpA, an entertainment company specialized in the management of horse tracks and related activities. In 2006, they founded and became a shareholder of Angel Venture, an investment vehicle in early stage tech companies. In 2007, they co-founded Italian Angels for Growth and served as Managing Director until 2014. From 2015 to 2020, they were a Founding Partner of ScaleIT Capital, an advisory firm specializing in connecting top scaleups from Italy and Southeast Europe with international VCs and corporates. Lorenzo also served as the organizer of the ScaleIT Showcase, which gives visibility to international investors of the Italian & Southeast European scaleup market. In 2020, they became a Senior Partner at CDP Venture Capital SGR, where they were Co-Responsabile Fondo Evoluzione and Responsabile Fondo Boost Innovation. In 2021, they became the Chairman of the Board for Convivit, a physical and digital platform in the senior living sector. In 2022, they became the Chairman of the Board for MadeInAdd, an additive manufacturing marketplace, and Board Member for Treccani Futura, a digital content platform for secondary students and teachers education. Lorenzo also became the Chairman of the Board for Gility, a training content marketplace for the upskilling & reskilling of SME. Additionally, they have served as a Senior Advisor for LVenture Group since 2015.

Lorenzo Franchini completed their education history with a Laurea from Università degli Studi di Firenze from 1989 to 1995 in Economics and Business. In 1992, they attended Victoria University for Business. In 1993-1994, they attended Universitat de Barcelona for Economics. In 1999-2000, they attended Cranfield School of Management for Executive courses in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In 2014, they attended Stanford University Graduate School of Business for an Executive Program for Growing Companies.
