Adrian Herrera has been working in the software engineering field since 2003. Adrian began their career as a Software Developer at Unicon, Inc. where they developed web applications for internet-based education. In 2003, they moved to Pearson Digital Learning as a Systems Engineer where they created web services that allowed clients to access an SIS (Student Information System) database schema. Adrian then worked for Best Western International as a Senior IT Engineer where they learned AJAX and JBoss 4.0. In 2010, they held three positions: Software Developer at Apex Systems, Senior Technical Analyst at Logica, and Middleware Applications Engineer at SunGard. Adrian then worked as a Senior Software Developer at TrueBridge Resources where they quickly learned the Spring/Spring Web Flow framework. In 2013, they worked as a Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin where they took training for the FreeFlyer software and developed a secure file transfer/notification system from scratch. Adrian then moved to NantHealth as a Senior Software Engineer where they worked on the core services team and learned OSGI, the latest Spring framework, NoSQL, Cassandra, Mongo, and Apache Karaf. Adrian currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at ISPA Technology.

Adrian Herrera's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in English: Creative Writing and Spanish from Louisiana State University, obtained between 1990 and 1994, and a Computer Information Systems course from DeVry Institute of Technology, obtained between 1999 and 2000.
