Mary Meier currently serves as the Executive Director of Bainbridge Island Parks Foundation since April 2021. Previously, Mary held various roles at IslandWood, including Community Education Manager and Volunteer Program Manager, starting in July 2015. Mary also worked as an Educator at Seattle Aquarium for a brief period in 2015 and has an extensive background in education roles at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center, Hamilton County Park District, and Tennessee State Parks, with responsibilities ranging from program development to interpretive education. Mary earned a Master of Science in Natural Resources with a focus on Environmental Education and Interpretation from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science from Bowling Green State University.
