Richard Gaetano has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Richard started their career as a Merchandising Assistant at JC Penney in 1989, where they managed labor scheduling and buying duties for athletic apparel. In 1995, they joined Island Pacific Systems Inc., initially working as a Senior Technical Consultant, designing and testing core systems and third-party interfaces. Over the years, they took on various roles including Technical Services Manager, Senior Director of Product Development, and Vice President and General Manager. In these positions, Richard oversaw operations, managed budgets, and led teams in support, professional services, development, sales, and marketing. Their responsibilities also included overseeing product direction and strategic customer projects. Most recently, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Island Pacific Systems Inc., where they oversaw operations and managed budgets for various departments.
Richard Gaetano earned an Associate of Arts degree in Information Systems from Irvine Valley College between 1991 and 1998. Later, from 1999 to 2001, they attended California State University, Fullerton, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business.
