Jillian Bates

Jillian Bates has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jillian most recently served as the Director of Strategy at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority, focusing on the Vancouver General Hospital. Prior to this, they held roles such as Director of Restorative Health and Director of Special Projects in Restorative Health at Island Health. Jillian also worked as a Principal at Jillian Bates Consulting, providing their expertise in various areas. Jillian served as a Contracted Consultant at the Alberta Medical Association and held senior consulting positions at Alberta Health Services in the Strategic Clinical Networks and Process Improvement departments. Earlier in their career, they worked at The Hospital for Sick Children as a Quality Leader in Haematology/Oncology/BMT and Diagnostic Imaging, and at the Children's & Women's Health Centre of British Columbia as a Risk Coordinator.

Jillian Bates completed their education with a Master's of Health Administration from The University of British Columbia between 1995 and 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's of Science Honors in Life Sciences from Queen's University, which they completed from 1990 to 1994. Jillian also holds certifications in Lean, Green Belt from Leading Edge Group and a PROSCI Change Management Certificate from Prosci, although the dates of acquisition are not provided.
