Brian Farrell currently serves as Chairperson of the Victoria Emergency Physician Medical Society and has been with Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority since 2008, holding roles as Trauma Team Leader and Emergency Physician, providing emergency care at the Royal Jubilee and Victoria General Hospitals. Additionally, Brian is the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Victoria General Hospital, contributing to the care of trauma victims from across Vancouver Island. Brian also holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC's Department of Emergency Medicine since 2014, where involvement includes educating medical students and residents. Previously, Brian served as Simulation Project Leader for the Island Medical Program and worked as an Emergency Physician in Chinook Health Region. Educational credentials include a CCFP(EM) in Emergency Medicine from the University of Alberta, an MD from Memorial University, and a B.Sc. Hons in Human Nutrition.
