Ben McDonald has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ben started their career as an Actuary at Mercer, where they worked from 1995 to 2005. Following this, they joined Funding London as a Director, from February 2015 to August 2018. At Funding London, their role involved bridging the funding gap for early-stage businesses in London and facilitating sustainable growth. In 2005, Ben McDonald joined KPMG UK as a Partner, where they worked until March 2020. During their time at KPMG, they also served as the Office Senior Partner for Milton Keynes and Watford from December 2016 to December 2018. Currently, Ben is a Partner and London Office Head at Isio, where they oversee the London Office, client relationships, and the pensions, investment, and benefits market. Additionally, they are responsible for Isio's Actuarial and Consulting business across their four South of England offices.

Ben McDonald attended Crossley Heath in Halifax from 1985 to 1992. Ben then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics at Loughborough University from 1992 to 1995.
